He started the company in 1971 as part of a college project and today the business is nearing 2.5 billion in sales with 10 distribution centers and 5.5 million square feet of inventory space. Lott’s founding two principles are to be nice and tell the truth. He believes that the employees are at the center of what makes the company successful.
