Do You Deserve to be a Millionaire?

Do you deserve to be a millionaire? Why?

If you said you deserve to be a millionaire because you work hard, long hours, you are wrong. Lots of people work long, hard hours and earn minimum wage.

If you said you deserve to be a millionaire because you have been in this business 25 years (could be any number), you are wrong. Lots of people think they have been in this business for 25 years but really they’ve been in this business 1 year, 25 times. Time in the industry isn’t worth much without continuous, compound learning.

If you said you deserve to be a millionaire because you are popular on social media and get lots of likes and recognition there, you are wrong. Even a million likes won’t get you a cup of coffee.

Truth is that it’s not up to you if you deserve to be a millionaire. It’s up to the people you serve. If you bring enough real value to your clients they will help make you rich. If you bring enough value to the team you lead they will help make you rich.

The key is that in serving we become deserving.

Who are you serving? How well are you serving them? Are you serving them well enough to become deserving?
